Hi there! A warm SoDak welcome to you! Wondering what SoDak Stays is all about? First of all, let's start with our name. If you haven't caught on already, "SoDak" is short for South Dakota and "Stays" is what we hope you do! We are a collection of short-term rental properties in the great state of South Dakota. Our bread and butter is focusing on giving our guests a unique & extremely hospitable experience when they visit our great state. We partner with owners who have properties of all sizes ranging from studio apartments to homes that sleep 12 plus! We hope you find something that fits your specific needs.

Meet the Owners - Albert & Kayla Huizing

We're the faces behind SoDak Stays (formerly known as Huizing Properties)! We have called South Dakota home since 2016 and have loved starting our family here. Albert is from the east coast and Kayla is from just across the border in Iowa. We fell in love after meeting at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. After buying our first house in Sioux Falls and renting out our basement on Airbnb, we got the itch to do more!

SoDak Stays began in 2021 and we love partnering with property owners to take everything off their hands: marketing, supplies, turnovers, guest communications, and more. Kayla leads up all things guest & owner experience while Albert takes on all operations and maintenance duties. Albert is also a licensed real estate agent specializing in Sioux Falls investment properties. Together we'd like to consider ourselves "SoDak experts." Whether you're a property owner looking for some assistance with managing your home or a guest looking for recommendations on the best place to grab a drink, we have you covered!
